Biography
Ranae York is a Paralegal and Family Law Legal Technician with over 15 years of experience in the legal field. She graduated with honors from Central Washington University, majoring in Interdisciplinary Studies and minoring in Law and Justice. Ranae is licensed by the Washington State Bar Association as a Family Law Legal Technician, having completed a comprehensive family law-focused curriculum developed by the University of Washington Legal Department. She also holds a certification as a Core Registered Paralegal through the National Federation of Paralegal Associations, and has been trained as a family law mediator through Volunteers of America. Ranae’s passion for Family Law drives her commitment to working collaboratively with our firm’s attorneys, always striving for the best possible outcomes for our valued clients.
Ranae’s career trajectory is marked by her fervent advocacy for social justice. Having served as both the Executive Director and courtroom victim advocate for a Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault victim advocacy agency, she has dedicated hours of training with the Washington State Coalition Against Domestic Violence, collaborating with law enforcement and judiciary members. This pivotal role not only enhanced her understanding of societal issues but also fueled her commitment to family law.
Her deep-seated empathy extends beyond the legal field. Recognizing the intersection of crime victimization and homelessness, Ranae founded and successfully ran a nonprofit focused on providing menstrual products to those in need, positioning her organization as a crucial member of the National Alliance for Period Supplies in Washington State. Balancing this with her legal career, she demonstrated remarkable dedication and impact in her community.
Now fully devoted to Family Law, Ranae’s approach is defined by empathy and integrity, driving her to make a significant difference in the lives of her clients. Family Law, for Ranae, is more than a profession; it’s a pathway to fulfilling her passion for helping others.
Away from the rigors of law, Ranae indulges in her love for vintage treasures, running a vendor booth at a local mercantile, and enjoys hunting for unique finds in thrift stores. An avid explorer of National Parks and a devotee of quality family time, she embodies a well-rounded personality that enriches her professional and personal life.
